Happy Wednesday!
At my house, I have a reputation for “finding” things - keys, wallets, hats, paperwork, etc. Recently, I even found a dead mouse in our basement storage area just by following my nose. It's disgusting, but I have to say that I was impressed that I sussed it out so quickly! I called Plunkett’s the next morning. If something goes missing, my family always asks me for help finding it, and I almost always do. I guess you could call this a hidden talent.
Another hidden talent of mine includes singing vocal harmonies. I'm not sure if it's the years of singing in choirs or what, but I can instantly find a harmony part. I know at least one other person in my family with this hidden talent, too.
At work, one of my hidden talents is teasing out other people's hidden talents. It's something that I absolutely love doing, and fortunately, I get to do it quite often.
What about you? Do you have any hidden talents people don't know about?
I wouldn’t call it a talent exactly, but I always know which way north is. Maybe everyone knows this? I can also say, and again not really a talent, but if I take a short catnap and tell myself I’m going to wake up in 12 minutes, I’ll wake up in 12 minutes. I think I learned this skill in college.
I’m not sure how secret it is, but I have a talent for making the seemingly ordinary an adventure. We’re not lost it’s a side quest, it’s not only a birthday it’s an opportunity to celebrate some new quality you haven’t yet discovered, it’s not a walk - it is a sojourn through the…, and food prep is the discovery of fantastic flavors. For me, an adventure is everything!
