It's coming! What are some things you want to do this summer?
April 17, 2024 | Sparkle Wednesday
It's finally Spring! I love this time of year.
Green is popping all over. The trees are starting to bloom, and the birds were singing loudly and beautifully yesterday. There's even some action in the milk jugs I use to do my winter sowing. Thanks for the encouragement, Julie!
Summer is coming, and we have so much to look forward to. Work relaxes a little; camping, cabins, picnics, and all of those things we associate with summer are on the horizon.
Last fall, I had a rather ambitious bucket list. Here it is:
Go to a fall festival! I don't remember. Lol.
Take a day trip. YES!
Fall camping! NO! Bummer!
Hear some live music outside! YES!
Have lots of fires outside and a have a little guitar jamboree. YES!
Try 5-6 different churches, places of worship, etc. Do a taste test! - Got to 3!
Grab drinks on a patio. YES!
Go to Dublin (our anniversary trip!) YES!
I created a spring/summer bucket list to appreciate before it ends. So, without further adieu, here's my list so far...
Go camping!
Spend time at my favorite Great Lake, Gitche Gumee, aka Lake Superior!
Canoe at Lake of the Isles, my favorite city lake.
Grow stuff in my yard!
Do yoga outside when the weather cooperates.
Guitar jamborees at the fire pit!
Go to the the summer party at The Walker.
Walk and shop at the farmer’s market.
What about you? What are some things you want to do this summer?
Ooh summer! My list: read on the porch, perfect pizza making in our outdoor pizza oven, visit our glorious St. Paul Farmers Market every week, kayak every morning I’m at the cabin, Sibs weekend, pontoon cocktail cruises, change up my walking route, music at the Big Top chautauqua, spend lots of time gardening, get my sisters recipe for pickled hot Hungarian peppers and make them, movie in the park, get my other sisters recipe for chimichurri flank steak and make it, spend time with ones I love.
This is fun! Here's what I'm hoping to do:
- Peak Bag! Aka summit all the tallest mountains in Utah.
- Backpacking trip (my first one!)
- See music at Red Butte Gardens
- Visit the SLC farmers market
- Ride the slide up in Park City
- Paddle board in the Cauzy Reservoir
- Bike through Emigration Canyon
- Host a dinner party using my produce from community garden plot
