Love this!! We have a JEDI group at ArcStone (Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusivity). For a few reasons, the group to a hiatus (babies, family leave). We brought it back last week.
I would create a holiday called maithiúnas. This is a Druid word which basically means make good. We would celebrate it by letting go of debt or grievances or disputes. A day of making good and moving forward fresh.
I'd like to see Bicycling Day. Cars would be banned from streets except for emergency vehicles and they could only drive on certain streets\. The idea is a slower yet present way of moving. Even if you drive an EV, the rotation of the rubber tires on pavement creates a high degree of airborne pollution. Bicycling Day would honor being present, physical people power, observing what you see as you ride and the journey itself. Bicycling Day would also have designated picnic stops where people (strangers and friends) could share a snack or meal.
To honor our new government I’d love to see a Diversity and Inclusion Day.
