This fall, David and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. Wowza! We met “organically" while we were members of the Chamber Singers at the University of Minnesota. Chances are, if I were looking for someone today, I'd be on Bumble, Hinge, Match, Tinder, or some other dating app of the moment, or maybe I'd be going to a speed dating mixer. Who knows?!
I've heard from my single friends that it's hard out there. I'm not envious. Whew! Occasionally I'll listen to this podcast segment called Second Chance Romance about getting ghosted after a date. I don't know why I find it the perfect entertainment for a bubble bath, but I do. There's usually one thing: a dating “nope" that happens and completely turns off the ghoster.
What say you? What’s a first-date deal breaker?
This was a real date I went on and it was most certainly a dealbreaker: She asked what my salary was in the first 10 minutes and when I asked what she liked to eat she said Lunchables (to each their own but come on)
A real deal breaker for me would be asking your date if they like Music & they say no. Or Cooking, or travel but then I guess you can always teach someone new tricks. Or another instance was a real date who picked me up & had an eye ball in a locket around their neck. I couldn’t even ask!
