It's sad to say but I had a few too many "eating contests" with my Grandpa John's Corn Puddin' and now I just can't. I have my cousins to thank for that one...

Follow up: can't say I'd never (ever) eat it again, but I'm good for a while. If anything, it will be a sweet (and salty) reminder of my dear Grandfather :)

Liver. No. Just don’t like it. Also, bear cooked in a crockpot. I did sample that and it gives the word “gamey” a whole new meaning.

Bear in a crockpot - yum. That's funny!

I’m picturing you putting gravy train in your sock! Genius and hilarious!

Those nazi lunch ladies loved making kids eat those horrible meals. I’m with you, that stuff could have been served at Leavenworth. I do remember rarely eating the lunches in high school. It served as my “allowance”.

Beets. Got sick eating beets years ago. Still can’t eat them.

I didn't know that! I love beets but getting sick on something has an impact.

Mine is also liver. I don't like the smell, taste, texture, look. Gross. There were two instances where I needed to look like I was enjoying it. 1. While I was at the house of a family friend. The mom would make liver soup. Atrocious! 2. In Israel, my "family" made it often and they all loved it. I just moved it around on my plate. Disgusting!
