Opps! Forgot about this!

My hero is Jimmy Carter. I loved the way he has been an advocate for those that are disadvantaged. I can proudly say, I voted for him in 1980. My first time voting.

This is a really tough question but today I'd say that my hero is Alan Page. Football player, commentator, judge, activist, child advocate, art collector, community member. He's done so many different and inspiring things. Plus, he's a regular (no matter what) Lake of the Isle walker just like me. :)

There is ones I admire and ones who inspire me. But I have always been rather reluctant to regard someone a hero —a spot in one’s heart very carefully reserved for quite extraordinary singular beings.

One I can call my hero is a man named J. Harlow. And I will not try to explain: as much as I love words, I haven’t got all I would need. He just was.

My hero (current obsession) is explorer, biologist, and environmental activist Hazen Audel. He is the host of a show on Nat Geo called Primal Survivor where he travels to some of the most remote countries in the world and learns from tribes on how to live off the land and survive the local environment, in turn showing how we can all respect land and honor ancient cultures and traditions. Outside of his insane amount of knowledge in nature and wildlife, Hazen also has a great zest for life. He's a truly remarkable human and I'm so impressed by his talents and accomplishments! Highly recommend his show (can be watched on Disney+).
