Yes!!! Why didn't I think of that? That whiny voice definitely makes me cringe.

I absolutely cannot stand the sound of scratching a specific type of print. I believe it’s called lenticular printing? it’s when a picture switches to look like another picture when you change the angle of it. I don’t know what it is, but something about the sound and the feel of it makes my skin crawl and it has since I was a kid!

I hate hearing a TV on as background noise. I remember when I was a public health nurse and I would be visiting people in their homes- I was always asking (as I was trying to talk with them),” do you mind if I turn the TV off? “ That was 25 years ago and it still drives me crazy.

That's a great one! That also drives me insane. Do you remember when they first installed TVs at airports and the news played 24/7? Why did they think that was a good idea? Glad that stopped.

I hate it when I hear people chew loudly or chomp on their food. At the movies I also hate people making noises from their phones when they should be shut off. Their keyboards clicking. Also My Mothers hearing aid used to whistle now & then & she couldn’t hear it but we could. Ow they are perfected. We were usually patient with her but not always. I

always jump when I hear the Amber alert sound on my phone or the TV. But it’s necessary.

I remember the screech of Grandma's hearing aids when you'd hug her. Yes, grateful they're so much better now!

I'm with you on the Amber alerts. After George Floyd was killed in 2020, Minneapolis / St. Paul had curfews for several nights. The sound designating the start of the curfew was awful. Scary.
