Bleu cheese, goat cheese, brie--pungent cheeses of all kinds! One day, I just felt a shift and realized that they're one of the best things about being alive.
As most kids I used to think veggies were bland and boring. Now as an adult I CRAVE them! There’s so many ways to experience veg - roasted, sautéed, grilled… delicious!
This is strange to think of now, but I didn’t grow up with any Spanish or Mexican food. I did grow up with baked beans which I didn’t like, and caused me to avoid legumes in general. It wasn’t until I was a vegetarian, cross country skiing in Yosemite with a friend who must have been trying to kill me with those hills, that I tried and loved refried beans. She took me to my first authentic Mexican restaurant and said, “try them, you’ll love them.” I reluctantly tried them, I did love them, and now I eat them (and other legumes) all the time. 🫶
