Any language. I took German in high school and put minimal effort in- I wish I’d have taken French or Spanish. I loved cultural geography in HS which was also one of my favorite classes in college.

Spanish for sure! I'll never forget when my Spanish teacher wrote a note on my report card that said "I really like Sam, but I think he could do much better..." She wasn't wrong and I still wonder how good I'd be with Spanish if I had really seen the light and buckled down in high school.

If I could go back to high school days & study different classes I would definitely take French or Spanish classes. The only language offered in 1960 was Latin. What a shame that was for all us older people. But now I dabble in Babble when I’m going somewhere & want to be able to communicate. It works. When we were visiting cousins in Sweden last summer, Julia(3) spoke 3 languages already. Russian from her Mother, Swedish, & English. That’s the time to learn.

I would definitely take AP language and composition again. I absolutely LOVED that class when I was in high school and I’m sure I’d love it even more today. If I were to take a class I never got to take in high school, I’d like to do orchestra or ceramics. Orchestra because I played the viola in middle school but stopped in high school (sadly had to choose orchestra or choir so it was an easy choice for me to choose choir). Ceramics because I knew people who had so much fun with it and I think it would be a great creative outlet!
