I don't know if it gets better than a summer morning, some strong french press and a breakfast sammy, a little guitar with my roomies, hit the beach around 2 pm, afterwards find a taco truck, driving home with all the windows down and the perfect song, a little afternoon reading/cat nap, then all get our summer attire on to hit an outdoor concert. We'd end the night in the backyard with a bonfire or on a patio somewhere in MPLS.
So it really varies for me, but today I feel like playing basketball with my sons at a small court we discovered on one of our trips to St. Martin. A little game of 3 on 3 - the Carnes boys versus some locals. Then Lisa (my wife) would join us for lunch at a beachside restaurant in Grand Case. After that, I'd relax with a good book under a beach umbrella until time for happy hour together. Then we'd gather for drinks and grill ourselves up a great meal poolside where we'd eat under the stars and enjoy music and companionship into the evening.
Actually, I do not have a typical day. My day goes as it is, though I use some sort of “guides” for organizing attention + intention: Moments and Spaces. Three Moments: Upwind, Crosswind, and Downwind (as in a flying pattern) —for instance, Upwind may begin at 7a, or at 4:26a, or at 6:19a... depending on how the day begins; Crosswind is usually around midday; and Downwind ,I try to go with the setting of the sun... but it all depends on how the day flows. And I also use three Spaces as reference for my doing: I call them Source, Ground and Work (as in ARTwork); each lasts differently each day and, unlike Moments, they do not happen everyday as long as I keep a minimum streak of 5 times a week each.
I have different ideal days, but here's a sampling. Today, I'll finish the paper work around 10:30 am and then be able to work on paintings. My ideal day continues when I'll go to the art institute and see a printmaking show later this afternoon. After that I'll head to BLM's house, take Radley for a walk along Lake Michigan and then maybe go out for wine and pizza.

In other words, boy am I excited for summer.
Yes, I am beyond excited for summer too! Your day sounds great!

Grand Case. I wish we could blip there today.
Yes, after Boo
Today. As it is.
I love this! What's a typical day for you like?

I love this. Is this your own philosophy?
Sort of, it is there —since today is the only day I have, I respect its flow along with my intention.

Your ideal day sounds great, Jeff! I love that BLM's dog is named Radley! After Boo?
