Two events immediately come to mind. The first was in June. My husband, 3 grown children and their spouses/partners had a farewell dinner for my middle daughter and son-in-law as they were moving to Utah for medical training. We went to an old school place in St. Paul called Mancini’s Char House & Lounge. We had dinner and there was a band playing in the lounge. We danced together, hot and sweaty, smiling and laughing. I remember looking around thinking - life doesn’t get any better. The other highlight was our annual sibling weekend at our lake place. Love spending time with these people who I’ve known the longest in my life.
What was the highlight of your summer?
Playing guitar around the campfire with my wife. We were camping at Gooseberry Falls, a stone’s throw from Lake Superior. Definitely a great night!
Our 5 week vacation in Europe exploring many Museums & landmarks. Also visiting Wisconsin at my nieces cabin on the Lake. Lots of memories.
Fresh juicy CO peaches from the fresh produce stand at the State Fair! Otherwise, lots of fun in the sun on the St. Croix River :)
