I look back at some of my prom dresses and just CRINGE. My sophomore dress had a mix of zebra print and rhinestones… yikes haha the whole classic trend hadn’t taken hold yet

I think my worst outfit was my red “caftan” that I made in high school. It was purely for elegant lounging in our basement. I didn’t use a pattern(it showed) and also didn’t hem it because- why? Just an unnecessary step. My sister was an expert seamstress (is that term still used?) at the time and she was appalled by my sewing “efforts.”.

I remember that outfit. I thought it was cool. Hey, whatever happened to your embroidered denim shirt? That was cool. Remember that blue suede Berman Buckskin coat? Also cool.

I remember making a beige double knit jacket with matching skirt and pants. I was in the 7th grade. 😭😂 That sounds perfect for a twelve year old.

I was so thrilled when mom gave the ok to buy the fabric. It happened to be the day that Nixon resigned. 😵‍💫

I remember that outfit! Didn't you enter it into the county fair? Mom was probably feeling extra happy and generous that day! Lol.

There are so many to choose from - my military phase which involved a Navy Sailor suit with cap, army boots, fatigues, gauchos, men's neckties and suit coats, plaid skirts with knee socks and combat boots. Lol.
