One road trip that stands out to me was with my Mom. I got my first professional job out of college in Newport Beach, CA. Mom and I drove my little car, with the U Haul box on the top, all the way across the country to my new home. It was exciting and a little scary. I’m experiencing a parallel universe today as we just completed a road trip from Minnesota to Utah where our kids are making their new home. It’s been a memorable trip.
A few years back our family visited New England. We ended up covering a lot of territory! We ate Maine blueberries, waded in the Atlantic, walked the freedom trail, toured Boston and ate lobster at a lobster pound. Good memories.
Sal Paradise (my old band) and I drove all the way down to mesa country in Southern Colorado for a gig. It was the first time we got paid enough to do something like that. Driving along the Colorado River, sticking out like sore thumbs in Vail, eating motel breakfasts, listening to CAN while we sped down the pass...I'll never forget it!
John & I had a wonderful Road trip up through the Eastern Coast States to Niagara Falls where we got engaged. Big surprise & a most Memorable trip.
