I can’t say this was exactly one night but there were many nights like this one. It was summer and usually very hot. Our marching band would march through the streets of the town practicing. It was fun- there was always some drama as often one section of the horns would quit because they were mad at the director. Quitting section would always be back the next day.. We would ride home with the McNamara girl who would drive out on our country road, as fast as possible, with the car lights off. Just for fun. 😳
I would encapsulate the ultimate Friday night sleepover with my best friends, Anna and Chloe (we spent almost every weekend together from 5th-12th grade). Life was so carefree then! Normal activities on the agenda would be hiking Barns Bluff, creating our own Harry Potter home videos, cooking an extravagant Italian dinner, rendezvous at Perkins around 2am - the world was our oyster :)
I can remember riding my bike to Willow River State Park with friends. It was actually quite a haul from our house. What a wonderful day. Not a care in the world!

Yes, isn't it fun how many days become kind of a snapshot of one time. I remember those summer band practices fondly too.
That ride home sounds like a nightmare now, doesn't it? Probably would've loved it when I was young!

Yes, carefree life indeed!! I love that your friendships with Anna and Chloe is still so strong. Do you still have any of the Harry Potter videos?

I don't think that I ever biked to Willow River State Park. That is a long haul! One common theme - not a care in the world.
